Field Operator/Technician 

DESCRIPTION
Exciting growth company serving the utility and industrial market segments is seeking field operators to perform advanced diagnostics on underground power cables.  The job requires the ability to interact with power distribution customers and contractors on site, operate diagnostics equipment, acquire test data, and communicate with the remote support team.  Upon employment, you will go through a thorough training program that focuses on testing of underground power cables, operating IMCORP’s partial discharge diagnostic equipment, and properly maintaining the equipment. Primary geographic scope for this assignment is North America, although some international travel may be needed.

IMCORP is a proven technology leader in power cable diagnostics. The company’s patented diagnostic technology is proven through testing of thousands of miles of underground cable all over the world. The technology allows the operator to pinpoint the exact location of a cable defects underground. In addition to locating existing cable defects, IMCORP’s non-destructive test methodology can predict future cable performance. IMCORP diagnostic capability provides its clients a means to dramatically improve their system reliability at a significant lower cost.

REQUIREMENTS
-A minimum of a 2 year technical degree or equivalent
-Good communication skills in order to interface on-site with clients and contractors
-Experience in maintaining test equipment and writing test reports
-Good troubleshooting skills
-Knowledge in reading electrical wiring diagrams
-Understanding of electrical circuits and hands-on skills in repairing electrical circuits
-PC-based computer experience
-Microsoft Office experience
-Good driving record
-U.S. citizen
-Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
-Electrical, electric power utility and/or electronic experience
-Fault locating, TDR (radar), medium and high voltage underground cable experience is a plus
-Familiarity with oscilloscopes
-Military experience is a plus
-Journeymen, splicer, linemen experience is a plus
