Company was
incorporated in the
State of Delaware in
August 1995. Its
headquarter is in
Storrs, Connecticut,
within the outer
campus of the
University of
Connecticut. The
company operates
under an exclusive
license from the
University on a
patented technology
developed by
Professor Matthew S.
Mashikian et al.,
and covering
instruments for the
location of partial
discharge (PD) sites
in medium and high
voltage shielded
power cables.
Professor Mashikian,
presently Emeritus,
is the founder of
the Company, and its
President and Chief
Executive Officer
(CEO). A European
office, IMCORP Europe, BVBA,
is located in
Lochristi (Gent),
Belgium with Frank
Verschraegen as the
General Manager.
Profiles
Matthew Mashikian,
Dr. Eng.
Dr. Mashikian is the
founder of IMCORP.
He is presently its
Chief Technical
Officer (CTO), its
President and its
Chief Executive
Officer (CEO).
Born in 1933, Dr.
Mashikian obtained a
Bachelor of
Engineering degree
from the American
University of
Beirut, Lebanon, a
Master's degree in
Electrical
Engineering from
Wayne State
University, Detroit,
Michigan, and a
Doctor of
Engineering degree
from the University
of Detroit. Dr.
Mashikian worked 5
years for ASEA (now
ABB) first as a
sales engineer and,
later, as an
applications
engineer for
lightning
arresters. He
worked 16 years for
Detroit Edison
Company where he
assumed the position
of Supervising
Engineer in the
Engineering Research
Department, and 4
years as an
independent
consultant. From
1983 until his
retirement in 1997,
he was Professor of
Electrical
Engineering and
Director of the
Electrical
Insulation Research
Center at the
University of
Connecticut. Dr.
Mashikian is a Life
Fellow of IEEE, a
member of the
Connecticut Academy
of Science and
Engineering, a Past
Chairman of the
Insulated Conductors
Committee of IEEE/PES,
a past chairman of
the Education
Committee of IEEE/DEIS,
a past industry
advisor to EPRI, and
a past member of
CIGRE WG 15-6. He
holds a dozen
patents and has
published
extensively on
cables, dielectrics,
diagnostic systems
and electric
vehicles.
Bruce
Broussard, CSE
Bruce joined IMCORP
as Vice President of
Operations, North
America in April of
2006. Prior to
joining IMCORP,
Bruce spent 24 years
with Eaton
Corporation’s
Electrical Group.
While there, he held
several geographic
sales assignments
for Eaton
Cutler-Hammer from
1982 to 1989. After
a brief headquarter
market management
assignment in 1990,
Bruce became the
District Manager in
Cincinnati, OH in
1991. With the
purchase of
Westinghouse’s DCBU
operation in 1994,
Bruce moved to the
group’s new
headquarters in
Pittsburgh, PA where
he held the
Commercial Marketing
Manager assignment.
In 1997, Bruce
became the Vice
President of OEM
Sales. Then in
2002, Bruce took
over the leadership
of the Strategic
Sales Operations for
the Industrial and
Institutional market
segments.
Bruce obtained his
Bachelor of
Electrical
Engineering degree
from Louisiana State
University in 1982.
He is a graduate of
the Syracuse
Graduate School of
Sales and Marketing
Management program
and served on the
Syracuse University
Graduate School of
Sales and Marketing
Management Board of
Trustees from 2000
to 2003. Bruce
obtained his
Certified Sales
Executive status
through the Sales
and Marketing
Executives
International
organization in
1994. In 1995,
Bruce was recognized
as the International
Sales and Marketing
Executive of the
Year by Sales and
Marketing Executives
International.
Bruce has also been
active in Junior
Achievement where he
volunteered as a
Board of Director
member for the
Southwest
Pennsylvania Chapter
2001-2005.
Frank Verschraegen
Born in 1964, Frank
Verschraegen
obtained a Master's
degree in
Electro-Mechanical
Engineering from the
University of Ghent,
Belgium and a
Master's degree in
Industrial
Management from the
University of
Louvain, Belgium.
He worked 6 years
for Samsonite
Europe, Oudenaarde,
Belgium, first as an
engineer and later
as manager for
different
departments in the
Supply Chain and
Business Planning
area. After
international,
technical-commercial
assignments in
Watlow Electric
GmbH, Flemisch
Institute of
Technological
Research (VITO) and
i2 Technologies, he
joined IMCORP in
2000. |
